Halloween 2009
After two long late nights finishing the last details of the girls Strawberry Shortcake costumes it was great to show them off! On Friday night, we went to our church's Harvest Party with our neighbors and the kids all had a blast. It was really busy, but the kids didn't seem to mind. I was impressed by how creative all the games were, they all had biblical themes with scripture. The girls'(and daddy's) favorite part was the free cotton candy!
On Saturday we headed up to Ramona to eat Breakfast at the Ramona Cafe, it has been five years since we have eaten there and it was just as good as we remembered! Afterwards we stopped by the pumpkin patch to allow some time for our food to digest before we headed back down the hill. The girls had a blast feeding the goats and running through the pumpkin fields. We then headed home for a relaxing afternoon nap had by all!
Later that night, Mike's parents brought over dinner. After dinner, we put the girls costumes on and headed out around the neighborhood for some Trick-or-Treating. The girls were definitely more focused this year and were a lot more structured about the whole process...
Step 1: Ring Door Bell.
Step 2: Wait 10 seconds.
Step 3: If no answer, starting knocking (pounding) on the door.
Step 4: When the door opens, say "Trick-or-Treat"!
Step 5: Take as much candy as the old people will let you because you are so cute. Step 6: Once they cut you off, turn around and say "Happy Halloween" as you are already half way to the street and scouting out the next house with a porch light on!
No time for messing around for these girls!
Hope you all had a safe and Happy Halloween!
